Me and Owen met in June 2018 on a sunny Tuesday evening on Talacre beach with a group of friends. After spending what felt like everyday together (we were basically inseparable) our relationship started in August 2018.

August 2019 we went on our first abroad holiday to Walt Disney World along side Owen’s family. We had the most magical holiday, I had never been to Disney World before so being invited along the family holiday was so very special and ever since that moment all we think about is when are we going back to America!

At the craziest time when Coronavirus hit the world, we made the decision to search for our first home. Wearing masks and cleaning every home we went to view defiantly wasn’t what we expected. We fell in love with a new build home and decided to reserve our plot in June 2020. We spent months and months sneaking up to the house and watching our home take shape, constantly wishing the months away so we could move in.

Finally the day arrived for us to move into first home together, we moved our stuff in throughout the day and later sat down on the living room floor with a takeaway and took it all in..we were in our home.

Another holiday abroad. Fun fact - we were actually mean to go Crete but three weeks before Tui decided to cancel that holiday, giving us a voucher to use to book another. After looking at many resorts in Crete we decided to look at other destinations, I started to search for dream holidays we wanted to go to knowing they were out of budget until... I remembered the voucher!! We found a resort and decided to book with no extra cost, we were going Dominican Republic. We were so excited to be going to one of our dream destinations, when we got there it definitely did not disappoint, the views, beaches, food and people were amazing.

Our first city break together in Barcelona. We were up everyday going to explore different parts of this beautiful city. If you know Owen then on holidays he likes to sit and do NOTHING however if you know me I like to get up and do everything so to Owen's excitment I made a full itinerary of everything we were going to do and see and to my shock he got up and out everyday!

In May 2024 we headed back to our favourite place - Walt Disney World. Little did I know four days into our holiday Owen was going to propose. On the 8th May 2024 we headed over to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon, on the way I was complaining about the heat and how I just wanted to tie my hair up and it was too hot - thank god I did not tie my hair up! 10 minutes later we were walking down Main Street waiting for our pictures to be taken in front of the castle. After our “normal” photos, Owen got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The biggest shock ever.. Everyone clapped, cheered and congratulated us on our engagement. We spent the rest on the holiday celebrating and taking it all in. We had a full two weeks of fun and ended on a Disney Cruise which was incredible, we decided a cruise was for us (especially a disney one), we had unlimited food that was always a short distance away and when we stayed up dancing at silent disco's it took us a two minute walk and we were in the comfort of our bed!! And that was the start of the wedding planning.

June 2024 we brought our fur baby (Brodie) home. I do not think anything could have prepared us for the whirlwind that he is, our little landshark (if you know you know) and we wouldn’t change him for the world.
